Preparation of Mechanochemical Reclaimed Rubber and Its Structure and Morphology

  • Mechanochemical reclaimed rubber was prepared by taking waste rubber as raw material.The best regeneration process conditions were obtained by studying the effects of activation regeneration temperature,time and shearing temperature on gel content in reclaimed rubber,and weight average molecular mass,the contents of sulfur and oxygen elements,surface morphhology and thermal analysis curves of waste rubber and reclaimed rubbers were analyzed.The results show that the best process condition were as follows:activation regeneration temperature of 220 ℃,time of 2.5 h and shearing temperature of 70 ℃.Sulfur bonds were mainly broken by mechanochemical method and the main chains of rubber could be left intact well.The mass fraction of oxygen on mechanochemical reclaimed rubber surface could be increased from 23.62% to 26.89% after regeneration,and the mass fraction of sulfur could be decreased from 1.37% to 1.07%.The morphology of the mechanochemical reclaimed rubber was proved impressively plastic and viscous,which meant less thermal stability than the waste rubber powder.
